It's imperative to ensure accessibility for all participants. This session will delve into the accessibility features of presentations, live or virtual, and materials with a particular focus on catering to the needs of Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Blind/Low Vision individuals. Through practical demonstrations, discussions and best practices sharing, attendees will gain insights into making their presentations inclusive and accessible to all.

Jessica Chandler has been working with learners with diverse exceptional abilities for 20 years. As the Associate Director of Outreach, Birth-to-5 & Statewide Coordinator of Birth-to-3 Services for Children who are BLV (blind or have low vision) at the Washington State School for the Blind, Jessica is fortunate to companion families during the earliest stages of their journey to empower and support their B/LV children. She has a B.S. in Deaf Education, a M.A. in Early Childhood Special Education, Certification as Teacher of Students who are BLV, a M.S. in Orientation and Mobility and her Principal Certification.

Kerianne Christie has worked in the field of Deaf Education for 21 years, primarily in WA state. She grew up in New York and her pursuit of education brought her to the Pacific NW where she attended Lewis & Clark College to achieve master’s degrees in Deaf Education: Early Intervention & K-12. Kerianne is dedicated to providing high quality specialized educational services and has been a National Board Certified Teacher since 2010. Kerianne currently fills the role of Birth-to-Three Program Coordinator for CDHY DHH Outreach Services in Washington.
