Building Inclusive Schools and Communities with the Community Conversation Toolkit TP1

Tuesday, May 7, 1:00 pm–3:00 pm

Pre-Registration Required

Families and communities hold great wisdom, cultural strengths, connections, and resources. Their input and involvement should inform decision-making and build the relationships and understanding needed for inclusion to be successful. Engaging families and community members will help identify: People’s aspirations for inclusive practices. People’s concerns about inclusive practices. How people think and talk about inclusion in relation to the community. What changes are needed. What people believe can be done and who they can trust to take action. Join us as we explore how Community Conversations can help us come together to converse honestly and openly about our experiences and begin breaking down barriers to welcoming, inclusive spaces for everyone. The Community Conversation Toolkit provides a road map with guidance and tools for honest, meaningful, and productive conversations about making schools inclusive for all.
